Brief Bio

Andy Jeon (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin) specializes in teaching and researching the application of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), within the field of marketing and Business. His research is centered on understanding the roles of AI, such as convolutional neural network (CNN), natural language processing (NLP), chatbots, and robot companions in communications. He is also dedicated to advancing research methods and has developed his own AI research platforms, such as CNN-based chatbot systems and the metaverse platforms. These platforms enable him to gather and analyze real-world behaviors, such as emotional interactions with chatbots and gaze-tracking data, resulting in practical and realistic findings. His research, conducted using these platforms, has been published in various journals and proceedings, including the Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, and IEEE VR.
